Robert Parker-Wine Advocate:
Now a Bolgheri Superiore, this is a warm-vintage blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. The Fattoria Terre del Marchesato 2017 Bolgheri Superiore Marchesale is a creamy and rich wine. There is plenty of dark fruit and dried blackberry, but the wine shows sweet notes of white chocolate, cinnamon and dark plum cake. (Monica Larner)

Characteristics |
Color: Clear with a ruby red colour, very intense, good density in the glass, clean and fine. Scent: Hints of ripe black fruit such as blackberry currant, then balsamic notes where a nice note of mint stands out, followed by spicy notes of black pepper, concludes with citrus and bergamot. Flavour: Black fruits, a very pleasant menthol, notes of bitter cocoa, a beautiful structure, relaxes in the middle of the mouth, pleasantly saturating it. Long finish. |
Pairing | Florentine Steak, pappardelle with pork sauce, grilled, roast suckling pig, roast pork, medium / long matured cheeses, such as Pecorino or Parmesan aged 30-36 months. |
